Service

In February of 2019, I volunteered at the Relay for Life event with my sorority. I planned games for participants and got to learn more about how cancer has affected individuals. 

In October of 2019, I volunteered at the Saginaw Children's Zoo event, Zoo Boo. I passed out candy, set up stations, and played games with children attending the event.

In May of 2020, I volunteered at the Dow Event Center by helping to manage children play stations during an event. I made sure children were playing safely and having fun while being supervised.

In June of 2022, I volunteered at Bridgeport High School to help set up and tear down the event. I also cheered on participants as they were competing.

Each year, my sorority puts on this event to spread awareness about domestic violence. I assisted in set-up and clean-up for this event.

I volunteered at the Mid-Michigan Children's Museum for a Pi Theta Epsilon service learning project where I helped children create tissue paper artwork and a spider web with a paper plate and yarn. This project was an activity that could be used in occupational therapy for fine motor and visual perceptual skills. 

In March of 2019, I volunteered at the Underground Railroad shelter by planning and participating in games with children and providing a listening ear to women who are escaping from domestic violence.

In March of 2020, I volunteered at the Amazing Grace Animal Rescue by cleaning cages, feeding the animals, and playing with the dogs and cats. 

In September 2021-March 2022, I volunteered at the Walk to End Alzheimer's by directing participants, cheering on walkers, and setting up the event. 

Throughout my time in college, I volunteered at the Underground Railroad Resale Shop. I sorted through donated clothes and assisted in organizing the stock room.

​I received certificates for Outstanding Dedication to Community Service for the following semesters due to completing 3 or more service projects: Fall 2021, Winter 2022. 

I volunteered at Saginaw Valley State University for a Pi Theta Epsilon service learning project where I helped package sensory kits to be donated to occupational therapists who work with children.
